• A non-binding to exceed estimate:

It means that even if there is overage to the original estimate you will not have to pay for it. For any services offered, the estimate is the maximum.

While hiring keep in mind that the genuine movers won’t ask for large cash deposits before the moving process. Paying in advance would not guarantee you a secure delivery of your goods. We advise you to pay only after the delivery. When you do pay, use a credit card to help protect you from a possible fraudulent activity.

Ensure that you get a written quote with an itemized estimate. See if the movers come to your home and take inventory providing you the detailed estimate. Make sure even the little extras and add-ons are mentioned in your actual contract.

In case you want your goods to be moved through difficult scenarios like from ground floor to the 10th floor, or across the narrow staircase, it is likely that you are charged extra. Supposing after the delivery you asked for unpacking service, expect a surcharge for the extra service. Don’t forget to ask your mover about any extra fees that may apply to your situation.

Do not make a blunder to sign a blank contract. Make sure you get every little detail of your move in writing. Your contract should include movers’ estimate, surcharge if any, pick-up and delivery details. Make sure none of your belongings are left-unlisted on the inventory list. If any of the goods are left to be labeled on the inventory form you sign before the driver leaves, don’t expect it to be in the box when he arrives.
